KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 10 — Datin Paduka Marina Mahathir today demanded Muslim group Ikatan Muslimin Malaysia (ISMA) rescind its “defamatory” allegation linking her to a human rights coalition it called “anti-Islam” or face legal action over the claim. Marina, the eldest daughter of former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, described ISMA’s allegation that she was one of the masterminds behind the Coalition of Malaysian NGOs in the Universal Periodic Review Process (COMANGO) as “wholly untrue”. “Although I am a Board member of Sisters in Islam, one of the NGOs in the coalition, I was not involved in any way in the COMANGO process.
