Former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad (pic) said it was curious that despite the multinational efforts using sophisticated technology, the search for the missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 has yet to yield any result.
"I see this development (the search and rescue mission) as very strange because in this modern and high-tech world, we have still failed to find a huge plane," he was quoted as saying by Malay daily Berita Harian today.
He said modern technology has enabled even the smallest movement from a human to be detected
"This is despite the fact that with the same technology, we can detect a person standing by the side of the road."
