Malaysian And Complaints: Stay Calm And Be Fair To All.

It is crucial for each and every one of us Malaysians understand the true meaning of freedom of expression and the freedom of religion.  Recently we have seen a lot of misunderstandings that leads to prejudicial and racist perception being spread in our nation. We should bear in mind that these incidents do not only incite hatred among the people of Malaysia, but it is also created a chain effect which will destroy not only the religious tolerance in our country but also will disrupt the economic, peace and stability of our homeland.
In the light of recent events, we want to ask those who are in power of this beloved country to strengthen up and promote racial and religious harmony in order to protect the sanctity of each and every religion and race in Malaysia.  We could never deny the existence of racism in every nook and corners but the absence of tolerance in the authority shall be the greatest factor that will contribute in the declining of social stability amongst Malaysians.

To be fair, prejudice and racism exist not only in Barisan Nasional led government but also in the Pakatan Rakyat states which we can see is on the rise daily. Yes, the ruling Federal Government has its flaws in administrating the country while those who are in power of Penang and Selangor has also has its fair share of intolerance to a particular race especially in Penang.

We know for a fact the many of the BN policies are ruining the concept of Malaysian Malaysia that we all yearn for, but the absence of tolerance in PR states is truly baffling as they were the one who advocates freedom and equality. It doesn’t matter if you are a Chinese, Malays, Indians or from other races in this country. You must have the rights to live the life that you want. To go where you want to go and to do what you want to do as long as it is not against any laws.
We must stop all type of racial discrimination and prejudice among our fellow countrymen. We too have to understand that being a Malaysian as we are now, we must show our very own capability to respect and tolerate each other.
Do not create sentiments that will lead to the destruction of our very own existence. For those who think that Barisan Nasional is the problem, or Pakatan Rakyat is the enemy, then we must understand that we are too the cause of the problem. These political entities cannot do what they do if we the “rakyat” do not support them. The fact that they are there making the same mistakes over and over again is a sign that we are not capable of choosing our own leaders. You can say that you do not vote for any of the corrupt leaders, but the fact of the matter still remains clear. Whether you support a particular party or not everything starts and ends with you.
Look at yourself, in the mirror and ask yourself, what good deeds I did for my country today. Did I help anyone or prevent anything bad from happening? Or did I complaint on every single thing that is happening in my country? Regardless of your action or inaction, we have our self to be blamed for anything that happens in this country. Try not to complaint so much…   Be thankful…. May God Bless Us All…

Hailed in Penang, reviled in Johor Baru, Lithuanian artist moves on with more street murals.

Not wanting to be identified by the public, Lithuanian artist Ernest Zacharevic (pic) covers his face with a basket during a photo shoot at a cafe in Nagor Road, George Town, yesterday. – pic by Hasnoor Hussain, November 22, 2013.
His street murals have brought him fame in Penang in the past two years but last Wednesday Ernest Zacharevic became infamous when his commissioned Lego mural was whitewashed by the authorities in Johor Baru.
The 27-year-old Lithuanian artist described the incident as "not the most pleasant experience” but said it has sparked discussion on what public art was, the social understanding of art, its limits and boundaries, as well as the freedom of artistic expression, which is like the freedom of speech.
"As an artist, I will always stand for that and everyone is entitled to his or her own opinions," he told The Malaysian Insider at his Penang base in George Town yesterday.

Of Karpal Singh And Dr Mahathir.

We heard that Tun Dr Mahathir was admitted into the National Heart Institute. We pray that he will recover soon. Although Tun was very critical of non-Malays in his statements and actions, we must not deny his contribution to this country. With that we pray to the Lord that he will have good health in years to come.

"Virgin, most holy, Mother of the Word Incarnate, Treasurer of graces, and Refuge of sinners, please cure Dr Mahathir Mohammad from any worldly sickness and we beg of you the grace ever dor us to do the will of God.

Into your most holy hands we commit the keeping of my heart, asking you for health of soul and body, in the certain hope that you, my most loving Mother, will hear our prayer for Dr Mahathir.

Into the bosom of your tender mercy, this day, every day of my life, and at the hour of my death, we commend our soul and body.

To you we entrust all our hopes and consolations, all our trials and miseries, our life and the end of our life, that all our actions may be ordered and disposed according to your will and that of your Divine Son. Amen."

Calvary Church Moves to Bukit Jalil

Calvary Church Kuala Lumpur is ready to open its doors to the public in Bukit Jalil this week with the opening of its Easter musical presentation “Heaven and Earth Rejoice.” The newly minted Calvary Convention Centre (CCC) set in a verdant green neighbourhood stands as a national landmark for religious diversity and tolerance.

Established in 1968 amidst what was then plantation land, Calvary Church has grown to be a notable landmark in the now dense Damansara Height neighbourhood. Without land to expand, church leaders started looking at alternative sites to build a bigger and better equipped facility. The proposal to purchase the land where CCC stands today was initiated as early as January 2003 and in the past decade, church regulars with support of the  communityand friends embarked on a massive fundraising effort to make the vision a reality.
With a built-up area measuring 600,000 square feet, spread across 4.9 acres of prime land close to the heart of Kuala Lumpur, the 5,000 seat auditorium will play host to world class conventions, banquets, seminars and creative arts productions. The 6-storey multiplex features ample seminar and meeting rooms, while the educational and training annex will include hostel facilities and rooms designed to provide educational and vocational training as part of Calvary Church’s holistic approach to nation building.

“CCC is built on the premise of increasing our potential to contribute to the local community and beyond. As a church we have been actively involved in social services from providing free counselling assistance to the community, to conducting feeding programmes for the homeless and street people. We even setupCalvaryland, a community welfare centre to care for the aged, orphaned and those marginalized by society in Sepang. With CCC established andthe continued dedicationof our church members and supporters, we intend to do more,”explained church executive administrator, Jim Guneratnam.

Note: CALVARY CHURCH was established through the efforts of Christian missionaries and dedicated to the glory of God on 11 February 1968. The church is pastored by Rev. Tan Sri (Dr) Prince and Puan Sri (Dr) Petrina Guneratnam who are also the first Malaysian couple to hold this position. With the completion of the new Calvary Convention Centre at BukitJalil, Calvary Church will start commencing morning services at 9am every Sunday beginning this Easter weekend. - See more at: http://christianitymalaysia.com/wp/calvary-church-moves-bukit-jalil/#sthash.OEVVo6Lj.dpuf

Allah Means God, Unless You’re a Christian in Malaysia

Allah can no longer be used by a Christian newspaper in Malaysia to refer to God after a landmark court ruling on Monday, reversing a decision made four years previously that maintained the term transcended different faiths.
“It is my judgment that the most possible and probable threat to Islam, in the context of this country, is the propagation of other religions to the followers of Islam,” said chief judge Mohamed Apandi Ali, announcing the change.
The panel of three judges was unanimous in their decision that the use of Allah by the Roman Catholic Herald newspaper constituted a threat to the sanctity of Islam, as defined in the federal constitution. The Herald editor the Rev. Lawrence Andrew said he was “disappointed and dismayed,” vowing to appeal.
We Shall Overcome For Our Lord Jesus!

Jesus of Nazareth

Jesus of Nazareth.
Who is he? From the beginning, there have been claims and counter-claims by individuals with their own agendas. Scholars such as Bultmann have argued that the historical Jesus is unknowable.
I dispute this.
I say the real Jesus is knowable, and is worth knowing.
If you are a radical liberal, i.e., if you are "offended" by Jesus calling God "Father" rather than "Parent", then I hope that you will find some way to do something useful for your neighbors in need, instead of just posturing and complaining. Please leave now.
