Christianity and Islam has a lot of similarities. The same can be said to Judaism. However, only Islam acknowledge the existence of Jesus and his relationship with God/Allah. Jesus in the Muslims theology refers him as a prophet (a messenger from Allah). In Christianity he is also regarded as a messenger and also the Son Of God.
The rivalry between Christianity and Islam has a long history. Who would forget the Crusade in Jerusalem, Constantinople, The Kingdom of Malacca and many more wars that has been derived thousands and thousands of year before our time.
None the less, the rivalry between these two religion is much compatible as a sibling rivalry, between two brothers. The older brother (of which is Christianity) and the younger brother (which is Islam).
However, in the modern world Christians and Muslims starts to understand their relationship and try to develop friendship to quash the bitterness that has halted the unification of the two most practice Abrahamic religion.
Here in Malaysia, Christianity has long helped Muslims by ways of education and charity. The Muslims repay this with their friendship towards the Christians. Just imagine how many Christian school was build just for the sake of teaching non-Muslims Children. None of them was forcedly converted by their teachers who came from nunneries, convents and monasteries.
Even our Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Bin Tun Abdul Razak was educated in one of the most prestigious missionary school in Kuala Lumpur which is the Saint John's Institution.
The Christian has never hold any hatred towards the Muslims and the Muslim never had any problems with the Christians. The friendship between Christian and Muslims were at it's highest peak. back then.
But not, in modern times, Anwar Ibrahim has become the only Malay Muslim leader who understand the need for both of the religion, he is also a hero of unification without racism or racist agenda.
We know for a fact that the Spirit of the Christian Church are helping Anwar Ibrahim to fight on his crusade against the attacks made towards him by Barisan Nasional racist supporters.
Deep down inside, we hope that Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim would convert into Christianity, as we know that he would be much appreciated by the Christian Community rather than fighting for the Muslims who are always condeming him because of the sentiment created by Barisan Nasional government.
O Holy Spirit, beloved of my soul, I adore You. Enlighten me, guide me, strengthen me, console me. Tell me what I should do; give me Your orders. I promise to submit myself to all that You desire of me and to accept all that You permit to happen to me. Let me only know Your Will.
If you do this, your life will flow along happily, serenely, and full of consolation, even in the midst of trials. Gracewill be proportioned to the trial, giving you the strength to carry it and you will arrive at the Gate of Paradise, laden with merit. This submission to the Holy Spirit is the secret of sanctity.
