The Hudud Bill drafted by the Terengganu state government constitutes a gross violation of the principles of justice and equality in Islam. 
Under this Bill;

• A woman who reports she has been raped will be charged for qazaf (slanderous accusation) and flogged 80 lashes if she is unable to prove the rape.

• An unmarried woman who is pregnant is assumed to have committed zina, even if she has been raped.

• A woman cannot be a witness.

Countries with hudud laws fail to reduce crime, says former top judge

KUALA LUMPUR: Muslim countries which have implemented Islamic capital punishments, or hudud, have not been successful in reducing crime rate, former Chief Justice Tun Abdul Hamid Mohamad said recently. 

Speaking at a public talk in Petaling Jaya, Abdul Hamid (pic) compared several Muslim countries practising hudud laws, which form part of the Syariah system, with non-Muslim nations, noting that they were far behind in terms of tackling crime and establishing peace and justice despite the existence of hudud laws.

Saya ingin menyatakan pendapat tentang kejadian kemalangan maut yang menimpa mendiang Karpal Singh baru-baru ini. Ini kerana saya merasakan bahawa kejadian seperti ini telah mengakibatkan kerugian yang amat besar kepada negara.

   Saya menulis di sini bukan kerana bangsa, agama atau kefahaman politik tertentu. Saya menulis di sini kerana saya ingin menyedarkan rakyat Malaysia bahawa kejadian seperti kematian Karpal Singh ini perlu diambil perhatian serius.

   Saya ingin mencadangkan bahawa, hukuman berat dikenakan terhadap pemandu lori yang menyebabakan kematian Karpal Singh. Apakah nilainya seorang pemandu lori jika ingin dibandingkan dengan nyawa seorang Karpal Singh!

Marilah kita bersama-sama mendesak KERAjaan Malaysia untuk mengenakan hukuman yang paling berat kepada pemandu lori yang telah merencatkan gerakan Reformasi dan UBAH.

Wan Azizah or Khalid – who will the Kajang move favour?

Selangor Pakatan Rakyat (PR) appears to be heading for a showdown over who should lead the country's wealthiest state as menteri besar, with PKR insisting the “Kajang move” run its course with Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail replacing Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim, while PAS prefers to retain the second-term state leader.

In a special meeting with the PAS top leadership earlier this week, Selangor PAS MPs and assemblymen leaned towards retaining Khalid as MB with the question: "What did Khalid do to deserve being replaced?"

The outcome of the meeting would be discussed by the PAS central committee this Saturday, and could decide Khalid's tenure as menteri besar.

DAP, the third party making up the PR coalition, is said to have gone along with the majority sentiment that Khalid has to be replaced, and Dr Wan Azizah is one of the candidates they were willing to accept.

In this way, the faithful as well as parents and family members can look proudly at their young sons and daughters embarking seriously on their faith journey.”

Memang patut mereka dihalau dari Pulau Pinang. Pulau Pinang adalah tempat orang baik-baik. Orang seperti mereka tidak dialu-alukan sama sekali. Kebanyakkan orang Bumiputera tidak sedar bahawa Wan Azizah lebih baik berbanding mana-mana pemimpin parti Barisan Nasional. Perjuangan rasis Barisan Nasional nampaknya tidak akan berjaya membawa Malaysia ke jalan yang benar.

Tahniah kepada si penjual makanan itu. Sebab itu anda jadi penjual makanan tepi jalan. Peniaga Melayu tersebut nampaknya bodoh dan tidak faham dengan makna keADILan.

ABIM is a group of young Malay Muslim youth are dedicating all their strength to ensure that all of the religion in Malaysia is free from the tyranny of the Government and Islamic authorities prosecution.

Beyond Kajang, Selangor PKR key to new party line-up

All eyes might be on the Kajang by-election but in PKR, members in Selangor are an important factor in determining the leadership this May as more than 25% of its half a million members who are eligible to vote are from the state.
Party officials say this could mean a hotly-contested election between top state officials, Selangor PKR chairman Azmin Ali and Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim, if the current state mentri besar decides to go for the party deputy presidency. Azmin is the current deputy president.
"144,020 of the 500,001 PKR members who can vote this time come from Selangor, followed by Sabah (86,955)," Datuk Johari Abdul, chairman of the 2014 PKR party elections committee, told The Malaysian Insider in an interview.

Sometimes it is hard for us to grasp the reality of Malaysian politics. Racism, corruption and nepotism are rampant thus making this country a hostile nation for those who seek peace and tranquillity in the eyes of Allah.

Let it be known that one man taught us not to accept our "fate" and to wait for the authorities to give us our rights. Let the world know that a few stood against many in this bountiful nation. The lack of political awareness is not the end of us. But the inaction of good people might be the trigger point of our down fall as a nation.
