First and foremost, I would like
to convey my condolence to Karpal Singh’s families and friends. He is a great
leader that will be missed by all Malaysians. We will never forget him and his role in our
fight for a truly democratic Malaysia.
I couldn’t help feeling that
Karpal’s death is not just a mere road accident. Some of us feels that someone
may have a hand in this freak accident that had caused the death of one of the
most feared and loved political icon in Malaysia.
Karpal is a man who speaks the
truth when everyone is afraid. He was not afraid to stand up against anyone. He
is the only person except for Dr. Mahathir who has the guts to tell the Malay
Sultans the wrongs that they did.
Karpal was a hero for all
Malaysians. If you are in a tight spot, be assured that Karpal will help you.
He did it by doing what he knows best. He puts his legal knowledge to good use.
But then again, because of this he had many enemies.
Karpal is not a hypocrite, he
speaks the truth and sometimes the truth may hurt. In numerous occasions he is
seen criticizing the Pakatan Rakyat and also its De Facto Leader, Datuk Seri
Anwar Ibrahim. Just before PRU-13 Karpal is seen as a man who would destroy PR
by asking Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim to repent of all his sins. He also said that
DSAI was the one who had created my problems for the country.
Supporters of PR are torn as they
respect and believe Karpal Singh for his views and thoughts, but the
Reformation Movement has reached up to the point of no return. Anwar is the
only weapon that can destroy Barisan Nasional and unite all the parties under
Pakatan Rakyat. Karpal was once shunned by Malays PR members because of his stance
on the position of Anwar Ibrahim as the Opposition Leader in the parliament.
We were blinded by the hope and
dreams that was sold by Anwar Ibrahim, we forgot that we were fighting for the
people and not just the coalition that we know now as Pakatan Rakyat. Now we
are in a dilemma. If Karpal Singh is gone, who will protect us from the
implementation of Hudud law in Malaysia?
Karpal was the only person in
Pakatan Rakyat who has the guts to stand up for Malaysians. He stands alone in
defending his views, while other members of the Pakatan Rakyat (this includes
the non-Muslims) were trying to lie about their views on Hudud. Karpal was
clear with his thoughts and words. “Hudud can only be implemented if I die”
brave words from one of the most patriotic Malaysian who ever lived.
Did some of the “hudud lovers” take
this to their heart? Did UMNO support Hudud laws to be implemented in Kelantan,
a way to avoid another Memali incident? Did Karpal died because he spoke the
truth? Will there be another victim of Pre-Hudud implementation in Malaysia?
No one knows what will happen in
the future. What I can say now is that BN is not our worst enemy, at least they
can be reasoned with. But watch out for the GREEN eyed monster that is hiding inside our ranks.

CU4M: We do not fully agree with Josephine Ang’s views.
However, there are some truths in her thoughts on the incident. If it is
clearly an accident, why are they trying to blame in on UMNO. Just look at the
FB status below. It seems that they are trying to make UMNO/BN their scapegoat
again. Should DAP severe their ties with PKR and PAS? YES! Definitely YES!
Seriously... We also think that there are something wrong with this person. UMNO is not that powerful. UMNO maybe Evil but they are not that competent enough to execute such plan. Go figure! |
